MISSION STATEMENT

Uptown Troops Color Guard is a grassroot Non-Profit Youth Organization that was founded in 1992 to explore different approaches in establishing innovative ways to create an incubator for education, recreation and community service programs for inner city youth. Uptown Troops Color Guard teaches its members to excel and invoke strong academic knowledge, discipline, teamwork, responsibility and community service. We take pride in our members' accomplishments and successes. Our goal is to comfortably challenge each member to achieve their full potential.

Our organization is in partnership with educational institutions, community leaders and local businesses. We have a strong commitment to public service opportunities allowing members to develop social consciousness and to foster pride in both the school and community. Members of Uptown Troops Color Guard will enter the next educational chapter as competent, contributing, productive students destined for lifelong learning.
